The Wonderland Adventures Worldwide is an international English language contest designed for students aged 5 to 19.It transforms language learning into a gamified adventure, blending education with entertainment.​

WAW COMPETITION

Wonderland Adventures Worldwide (WAW) Competition Organized by TEFL Wonderland, this global educational competition engages students from over 35 countries in gamified English learning challenges. Participants compete for prestigious awards, including a 10-day summer camp in Niagara Falls, Canada, luxurious trips to Egypt's Red Sea Resort, and cash prizes.

What is Wonderland Competition?

International Competition

Wonderland is a global educational competition hosted by TEFL Wonderland in Canada. It brings together students from over 35 countries around the world.

Points and Leaderboards


At Wonderland, students are engaged, not passive. They actively participate in their English language journey by completing quizzes, assignments, challenges, and team projects. 

Ages 5–19

The competition is open to students aged 5 to 19 from all over the world. Participants are grouped based on their age, grade, and English proficiency level.

Scoring and Ranking

Active Learning & Course Quizzes

Contestants earn points and trophies for regularly checking and participating in the course. They also earn 2-10 points when scoring more than 85% in each of the course quizzes.

Wonderland Forum Challenges

Wonderland Champions participate in forum challenges, which involve creating speaking videos, completing grammar and vocabulary quizzes, and tackling writing challenges.

Preliminary Round August 2025

All participants sit for an invigilated exam in the first week of August. They earn points and medals based on their test scores (Gold, Silver, Bronze Medals/300, 150, 50 points).

Final Round August 2025

The top 20 students from each leaderboard are invited to take a comprehensive test that covers the four core language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

Wonderland Awards

The top WAW Champion, who accumulates the highest points, trophies, and medals across all international leaderboards, will receive free enrollment in the Wonderland Niagara Camp in Canada.
The top student on each leaderboard in the WAW Competition will receive an invitation to the WAW Grand Awards Ceremony – a prestigious 4-day event held at a luxurious resort on the beautiful Red Sea in Hurghada, Egypt.
The top 5 students will receive a 15% discount on the Niagara Falls Leadership and STEM Camp, while the next 15 students will enjoy a 10% discount.
The top student from each international leaderboard wins a free all-inclusive trip to Egypt or a rewarding cash prize.
All top 20 students from each leaderboard receive certificates acknowledging their international ranking.

    Each Wonderland adventure is tailored to address two different levels of English proficiency.

    Wonderland English Explorers (A1-A2 YL)

    Wonderland English Champions (B1-B2)

    Grade 5, 6, 7 & 8

    Wonderland English Wizards (C1-C2)

    Recognition of Achievements

    Certificates serve as a tangible record of students' success and dedication during their journey in Wonderland.
    These include course-completion certificate as well as certificates for winning forum challenges or being at the top of the leaderboard.

      Beehive offers two types of online English courses: one aligned with the Tunisian program and another based on CEFR standards for international certification.
